Wow, what can I say? It has been one heck of a football season for the city of Valdosta. Not only did the Lowndes High School Vikings win state, but now 'The' Valdosta State University Blazers have won the NCAA Division 2 National Championship!! Go Blazers!
VSU came into this game ranked #3 in the nation and they played the Pittsburg State Gorillas, who just happened to be ranked #1. This was supposed to be a tough game for VSU especially since Pitt was undefeated and scored 90+ points in a single game!
